📅 Updated October 2026 Plans and prices were read from Domain.com's own web hosting page on October 12, 2026 (USD, billed yearly, before tax). I could not find a documented independent speed or uptime test of its hosting, so this review makes no performance claims of its own. How we evaluated this: research-based. We did not run our own benchmarks for this review.

Domain.com is a domain registrar that also sells shared hosting, bundled with a drag-and-drop website builder and a free domain on its higher plans. The first-year prices are low, from $35.88 a year, but the renewal is close to three times higher and the plans are small: 10GB to 20GB of disk and visit limits from 15,000 to 200,000.

This review covers the three hosting plans as Domain.com lists them today, what they renew at, the limits and the missing independent data, and who should choose it. For the wider market, see our comparison of the best web hosting companies.

My short answer: Domain.com hosting makes sense mainly if you already manage your domains there and want a simple builder-plus-hosting bundle for a very small site. For most readers, a dedicated host such as Hostinger, Bluehost or UltaHost gives more storage, better value and clearer performance data for similar money.

What is Domain.com?

Domain.com is a domain registrar and a Newfold Digital brand (the same parent as Bluehost and HostGator). Its shared hosting is a simple, builder-first package: a drag-and-drop website builder, a free domain for the first year on the two higher plans, SSL, and SiteLock and WordPress integration.

What the plans include

  • Website builder: a drag-and-drop builder on every plan.
  • Resources: 1, 3 and 10 websites, 15,000, 50,000 and 200,000 visitors, 10GB or 20GB of disk, FTP accounts and 1, 3 or 10 email boxes.
  • Bandwidth: unmetered on Essential and Premium.
  • Free domain and SSL: for the first year on Essential and Premium. See what a domain name is.
  • Support: 24/7 chat.

The Premium plan lists the same 20GB of disk as Essential on the page, so check the figure before you rely on it. Over two years the plans cost $141.87, $244.87 and $308.87 (first year plus one renewal year), about $5.91, $10.20 and $12.87 a month, which is expensive for the storage you get.

⚠️ Read the offer details: the prices carry an asterisk ("See Offer Details") for the first-year price and the free domain and SSL. Check what the free domain renews at, and whether the Starter plan includes SSL, before you pay.

🚀 Performance: what we could and could not verify

I found no recent, documented independent test of Domain.com's shared hosting with a stated method. The pages I found that mention it are mostly aggregator or affiliate reviews, and the TechRadar review of Domain.com concerns its domain service. Domain.com lists a 99% uptime guarantee, which allows about 7 hours of downtime a month, much lower than the 99.9% that most competitors promise. I would test any site on a trial before moving it, using a free uptime monitor.

🌍 Support and setup

  • Support: 24/7 chat, according to the page. I did not verify response times.
  • Control panel and data centers: the page text does not describe them. Ask before you buy if you need cPanel or a specific location.
  • Migration and backups: not described in the page text. Ask whether migration is included and how backups work.

🛒 How to buy Domain.com hosting

1
Choose the plan by sites and visitors. Starter for one small site, Essential for three, Premium for ten.
2
Read the offer details for the first-year price, the renewal and the free domain and SSL.
3
Connect your domain (a free one on Essential and Premium, or one you already own).
4
Build with the drag-and-drop builder or install your own platform.
5
Set a reminder before the first year ends, because the renewal is about three times higher.

⚖️ Domain.com versus other shared hosts

These are the numbers as each company shows them. Bluehost's price is the one shown through our link, read on October 16, 2026 (in some countries the prices show as $3.99, $6.99 and $14.99, or $143.64, $251.64 and $539.64 up front, as read on October 16, 2026; check the cart before you pay); the others were read on October 12, 2026. A dash means the company's plan page did not state it.

🎯 Who Domain.com hosting is for

✅ It is a good fit if

  • You already manage your domains at Domain.com
  • You want a simple builder-plus-hosting bundle for a tiny site
  • You will review the renewal after the first year

❌ Look elsewhere if

🏆 Final verdict: is Domain.com hosting worth it in 2026?

Only for very small sites, and mostly if you already use Domain.com. The first-year price is low and the builder is convenient, but the renewal near three times higher, the small disk allowances, the 99% guarantee and the lack of independent data make most competitors a better buy.
